Dear Strivers and Stormers Society Golfers,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for taking part in our 2009 golf society events.
We are in the process of sending out all of the subscription forms for the 2010 season which we hope you are all looking forward to. If you have not received them by the end of the week, please send one of us a message and we will be in touch a.s.a.p. or you may download the appropriate forms from the society page on
If the year got on top of you and you feel left behind do not worry you can start all over again in 2010! That’s what we are here for! Society membership is available to all past and new players based on a first come first served basis! 1st refusal will go to 2009 members!
The Subscription fees have been reduced in order to help our current financial situation and if any of you out there are having difficulty with the payment we are willing to allow half payment now and the other half in March 2010.
If you know of anyone interested in being involved with either of the societies please don’t hesitate to contact either myself or Julie.
Our outings for next year should be reduced slightly in price but I do feel we should keep up the tradition of food after play as it keeps a nice social feeling amongst the groups!
Our 1st meeting is in The Clarion Hotel (Dublin airport) on Monday 11th January 2010 at 7pm for Stormers and 8.15pm for Strivers. Please try to make it!

Dear Stormers & Strivers
We hope you are enjoying your golf with us so far this year.
We have had a few new members in recent months and we would like to welcome you to the Aideen Rogers golf societies.
We have two societies Strivers & Stormers, if at any stage you would like to move from one to the other please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Our weekend away is also coming up on Friday & Saturday the 9th & 10th October at The Heritage (5 Star Hotel) if any other players would like to join us please make contact a.s.a.p. we currently have 42 people and have reserved for 50 people so 8 places left. €290 is our weekend price.
Our match play event (Stormers Knockout Challenge) is still in progress and we are down to our semi-final the next match must be played by Sunday 13th September, please remember you must make your own match arrangements.
Our semi finalists are: CAROLINE MC GRATH v ANGELA LODGE and MARY MCIVOR v LIZ GORMAN good luck girls!!

The new score chart system:
Strivers password is “readyourscores” Stormers password is “seeyourscores”
Once you enter in you will see Google Doc’s, if you have not registered with Google doc’s please do, it only take 2 seconds and you are set up, it will guide you through from this page, this is the only way we can show the score chart at the moment, next year we will have a better system.
Clinics:
We hope you have been enjoying our coaching clinics throughout the season, If you have been keeping up with things you will see that we did:-
1. A Driving Clinic
2. A Long game clinic, i.e. Fairway woods, irons and rescue club
3. A Pitching Clinic
4. Bunker play clinic
5. Chipping clinic
6. Putting Clinic
We are having another 2 hour clinic on Long game this Friday 4th September from 11am to 1pm at The Fingal Golf Centre, there are 8 places left if anyone else wishes to come along, cost is €30 per head which includes Coaching, Balls and tea/coffee afterwards. To sign up please call 8400898.

Newsletter 2: 6th April 2009
Dear Strivers & Stormers
I hope you are enjoying the society so far this season, The weather has been a little touch and go to date, but we do look forward to a really nice summer ahead.
I would like to thank you all for your support in building both the Ladies and Gents golf societies.
There are about 50% of you out there have not yet graced us with your presence so far, and we really look forward to meeting you soon, if you feel you are a little shy or not quite ready to play and need to chat, please do not hesitate to call either of us on our mobile numbers (Aideen 087-9906738, or Julie 087-6113638) or if you need a refresher lesson before playing your 1st game, both myself and Julie are here to help, if you would like to reserve a golf lesson with either of us please call The Fingal Golf centre on 8400898, lessons cost €30 per 30 mins and golf balls €6.
Our next Strivers outing is on Sunday 19th April at St Margaret’s Golf Club, and our next Stormers outing is on Sunday 26th April at Roganstown Golf Club. Please call/Text Julie to enter on 087-6113638.

Dear Strivers
Welcome to the 2009 Strivers golf society.
We are in the process of sending you out your welcome letter and the 2009 schedule with additional information in order to help you understand a little more about the Strivers golf society.

We are having a welcome meeting for all new members at the Coachmans Inn (beside the Fingal Golf centre, across from Dublin Airport) upstairs, on Monday 9th February at 8pm, please do your best to make it (this is an extra meeting we are putting on for all the new comers who have joined since the meeting in early January or for those who couldn’t make the early meeting).
We have a couple of new things happening in the Strivers golf society this year.
1. We have introduced a new "pars" competition, where we count up how many gross pars you have, and every quarter of the season the player with the most pars wins our pars prize (A birdie is counted as 3 three pars) so go for it!
2. A score chart system has also been introduced this year, where you will find a record of all your scores after every outing, this is available for viewing with the password available from either Julie or Aideen on the Strivers society page:-

Welcome to all the new members of the Strivers Golf Society and welcome back to our existing members. we are looking forward to a lovely golfing year ahead with plenty of good weather, good golf and great experiences! make sure you contact us at any stage if you are unsure about something or simply want to have a chat. We are holding 15 events this year and have chosen the Beautiful Herritage Golf resort for our weekend away on October 9th and 10th of the year!
