Our year is coming to an end and I would like to thank you all for your support during 2011.
Our next outing is the overnight stay at The Heritage 5 star resort on Saturday 22nd October, all names are finalized and the €50 cancellation fee now applies, thank you.
Please be at the Heritage in order to register at the golf Club for 11.30am. The letter with details and rooms list was emailed last week if you have not received it please let me know A.S.A.P.
Our Christmas outing has also been confirmed this is on Saturday 3rd December at Castleknock Gc, the day will include 9 holes golf scramble, with a tipple of port and mince pies before tee off! 3 course Christmas dinner at 6pm sharp in the clubhouse restaurant, prize presentation and a singer over dinner. Price is €50 all inc. Text or email in order to enter.
2012 Society subscription packs are being processed and will be ready soon.
New members may download 2012 subscription packs from the website now.
Our Stormers knockout challenge is at semi final stages, good luck to all our finalists.

Dear Strivers Stormers and Rookies.
We hope you are enjoying your year with us so far!
Welcome to all the recent new comers and hope you are looking forward to the rest of the year.
The season has been going well unfortunately we had to cancel one day due to the weather conditions but apart from that we are doing ok.
The golf society shirts and hats have been delivered and ready for pick up, if you wish to purchase one please text and we will get it to you at the next outing. Shirts sell at €20 and Hats at €12.
Your golf society membership card entitles you to discount at Halpenny golf store and McGuirks golf, discount will be given on certain items on production of the card, if you did not yet receive a card please text us on 0860341044.
We are planning a trip away for a one night stay on Saturday 8th October, the Heritage are coming back to us with a very very competitive rate.
In the meantime, please keep enjoying your golf with us and we are here for you if you need us.

Welcome to the 2011 golf society, your members pack has been posted out to you, I hope you have received it, if not please inform us as soon as possible, thank you!
I hope you are looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
To all of the new members you are very welcome and I hope you enjoy the year we have planned for you.
Just a little note to help you along your way: Our 1st outing of the year was held on Sunday 20th February at Swords Golf Course; it was a great success and to those of you who did make it along thanks you for your support! Well done to all the winners and participants. Prizes will be brought along to the next outing.
If you did not make the 1st outing please do not fret!
Our next Strivers/Stormers society outing is on Sunday 13th March at Hollystown Golf Club, the closing date for your entry or cancellation is Thursday 10th March, the best way to enter is via text message to 0860341044 or email striversgolfsociety@eircom.net or stormersgolfsociety@eircom.net .
In addition both myself Aideen and Julie Forbes (The Organisers) are professional tutors of golf and are available for lessons throughout the year, including clinics on every aspect of the game.
For example: putting, chipping, pitching and indeed the long game which includes the driver, woods and iron play. You will be informed about clinics but all individual lessons and small group sessions should be booked through the Fingal Golf Centre on 8400898. 9 holes on course lessons are also available.
A word of advice to all members, please try to work on your game and your fitness levels in order to keep up pace of play! (A big tip to all players is: if your group is slow and you have lost more than a hole ahead, please call the group behind through by standing to the side and waving them on, this will help us keep up pace of play!)
A rules night has been organised to help and encourage your knowledge or golf so please make a special effort to enter for that night. Tuesday 15th March, 8pm at the Coachman’s Inn.
Membership is still open if you know of anyone interested, and membership cards will be ready at the next outing.
Our Rookies Southside society is also open for membership, but in addition all members of either society can avail of either schedule without any extra fee involved.
The Rookies schedule will be completed in the next few weeks and emailed to all members.
